I'm new to FWC. How do I get started?
Getting plugged in and connected to a new church can be challenging. At FWC, we have taken the awkwardness out of it and created some easy opportunities that should help you transition into our church community.
If you declare with your mouth that, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. - Romans 10: 9-10.
The most important step in any person's life is when they choose to use the free will that God has given them to openly accept Jesus as their Lord and savior and walk with Him the rest of their days. Salvation's gift of heaven and an eternity with the Father is one none of us can afford to pass up, and here at FWC we want to partner with you as you take this step in your journey!
Water Baptism: Baptism is a public expression of what has already happened privately between you and the Lord! We baptize people by fully immersing them in water. It is a symbolic expression of Christ's death (going under the water) and His resurrection (coming up out of the water).
Baptisim of the Holy Spirit: As the third part of the trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) believers were sent a help mate. When Jesus rose from the dead, He sent His Holy Spirit to live inside of all of us, giving us all access to the living God for as long as we live! Baptism of the Holy Spirit allows and invites the Holy Spirit to begin moving in our lives to guide us and unlock our full potential as followers of Jesus.
Where the journey to a successful Christian life begins!
After salvation and baptisms, this is the next step in the journey towards spiritual growth.
This is a class that is offered four different times throughout the year.
This class will explain what "being saved" means, guide you into becoming a member of FWC, reveal what your personality traits and spiritual gifts are and help you find what ministry is the best fit for you to serve in.
We hope you'll attend Starting Point and get started on your journey at FWC
Small groups help you get connected!
These are groups of people who meet together in homes, coffee shops, parks, at church, and across the community. They will help you to make new friends, grow in your relationship with Jesus and become established in the church. They will help you live a successful Christian life.
FWC believes that everyone who follows Jesus has a ministry. By serving, whether that be on campus, in the community, or around the world, we are helping to move the mission forward.
One of the best ways to get connected to the church family is to serve on one of our ministry teams. Our teams include children (birth through 5th grade), youth (grades 6th-12th), men's, women's, impact (hospitality, cafe, ushers, greeters), creatives (worship band, vocals, sound, lighting, production), discipleship (small groups and bible studies) and administration (office and support). There are additional ways to serve such as janitorial, landscaping, special events, hosting a life group, or volunteering with one of our ministry partners.
