MINISTRY ACADEMY

Family Worship Center exists to raise up a new generation of Spirit-filled, transformational leaders for life-impacting ministry. We do this by focusing on developing individuals who are called to full-time, part-time and volunteer ministry. Our goal is to equip leaders with solid, Biblical convictions, theological foundations, healthy culture and vital leadership principles for anointed impact in ministry.

The Ministry Academy provides students in Kitsap County with the opportunity to integrate what they learn in the classroom with practical experience. Students are offered valuable opportunities for supervised ministry training in field settings to gain experience and greater competency as ministry leaders. The strategic weekly involvements allow students first-hand experience in the ministry and leadership culture of Family Worship Center. In this way, students are exposed to the diverse ministry challenges found in a dynamic, healthy, and growing church.

We offer three pathways that allow students to participate in the Ministry Academy at the commitment level they are able to. We have an EXPERIENCE PATHWAY, a CERTIFICATE PATHWAY, and a DEGREE PATHWAY.

EXPERIENCE PATHWAY

On this pathway, students are able to be a part of leadership training classes while they serve on a ministry team. Besides the initial $50 application fee, there is no cost and the time commitment is minimal. Once a month there is a three hour leadership training class where students from all three pathways come together for teaching and training. Occasionally there are homework assignments and supplemental books to purchase.

CERTIFICATE PATHWAY (2 year)

On this pathway, students enroll in a two-year online bible school curriculum. This program is a self-paced program and students are expected to do the learning on their own. In addition to the Bible school program, there is a monthly leadership training class as well as serving on a ministry team. Cost for certification is $250 per year ($500 for the certificate). Once the Ministry Certificate is earned, students are eligible to apply for pastoral licensing through Family Worship Center.

DEGREE PATHWAY (2 year)

On this pathway, students participate in college level instruction (as outlined below) as well as serve on a ministry team. At the end of the program, students will have earned their Associate of Arts and/or their Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Theology and will have gained valuable ministry experience. Upon completion of these programs, graduates may apply for pastoral licensing and ordination through FWC.

Undergraduate Programs

• Completion of 20 college level courses (per degree)

• Active participation on a FWC ministry team

• Weekly and monthly check-ins with ministry advisor

• Completion of reading assignments and/or special tasks assigned by ministry advisor

• Monthly meeting with your Ministry Academy cohort.

• Cost is $2000 per year ($4000 per degree). Monthly payment plan available
